Kick Ass!

Kick Ass really kicked ass! I love saying that... Watching the trailers, I knew that it would be a great action + comedy movie... and damn I love great action movies...

What I love about Kick Ass is it managed to get me all build up by the presence of tense and suspense elements but then surprised me with insanely comedic acts... For example, the part where Kick Ass tried to stop two robbers from  stealing a car and got stabbed and then surprisingly got ran over by a car! Another example, the part where Kick Ass confessed to his crush about his true identity and the fact that he's not gay... the kissing part was kinda cliché but the boobs-touching act made it hilarious!

For me, Hit Girl was the most dominant character even though Kick Ass was the lead... She's tough, firm, and consistent... but what made her shine was the irony... A cute girl with mean killing skills... For God's sake, she can dodge bullets! How cool is that compared to nerd Kick Ass??

My most favourite aspect of the movie is the different camera views and awesome effects... The first person shooter mode of Hit Girl shooting bad guys while wearing a night vision goggle was indeed bad ass... it reminded me of Doom the Movie... The part where Big Daddy performed a massacre at the wood factory was also great...

I predict a sequel... with Red Mist as the villain... Dont you agree??

I want Iron Man 2!!

This is a long entry...

Kuantan at night was so lifeless for I felt like there was only me roaming around its streets and buildings... How silly I was to think that the malls, Kuantan Parade and Kuantan Megamall were opened for 24 hours or at least until midnight... As soon as I entered the malls, most outlets and stores were already closed... Because of that, I had no more place to go and spend the night... I felt so all alone...
A few years ago when I was doing my TESL pre-degree program, after my Nokia N-gage phone was stolen, I decided to travel alone to Kuantan and retrieve my MUET slip from the office of Kolej Matrikulasi Pahang (KMPh)... It was rather spontaneous... I didn't bring anything with me... Not even spare clothes... I just felt that I needed to get out from Lendu and be alone to clear my head from what had been happening lately that time and the things I'd done to deserve it... I bought the tickets, hopped on the bus and went straight to Kuantan... It's funny how I never thought of going home to Terengganu...

After a few hours on the bus, I arrived at the main bus station of Kuantan around 7 o'clock... After spending months in Kuantan in KMPh before entering UiTM, I knew at that time there were no more buses left to take me to KMPh and the taxi would cost me RM30... Shit, I had no place to crash tonight... So, I thought maybe I could just roam around the malls and watch a movie or something... Shittery Shit, the malls were closed... and there I was, alone in a lame city, walking aimlessly on its streets, thinking that if I was unfortunate enough, maybe someone would rob me after sticking a small knife into my gut... Terrific... How smart of u Fahmi...

I headed back to the bus station for I thought I could crash in its Surau... on my way there, suddenly a guy went pass me before stopping about two meters from where I was and stared into my eyes like a crazy person... Shittery Shit Shit... maybe I am unfortunate enough and I would die here tonight being stabbed by a crazy guy, I thought to myself...

"Kau ambil dadah eh?!"

He shouted at me...

"Ha?"

I replied briefly, expressing a sense of confusion...

He repeated his accusation, "Kau ambil dadah eh?"

and justified it...

"Aku nampak kau jalan tak tentu arah dari tadi... Terhuyung hayang cam mabuk! Kau minum arak eh?"

Great~ another accusation...

"Tak la..." I denied them...

"Kau Melayu kan?? Apa nak jadi dengan anak Melayu sekarang... Ambil dadah, minum arak, berjudi, main perempuan... Sedih aku..."

"Whatever la..." I mumbled...

"Ha?"

"Takde pape..."

"Kau nak pergi mana ni?"

"Stesen bas... nak pergi surau..."

"... ... ... ... kau biar betul..."

"Betul la... nak pergi surau..." I hid the fact that I was actually going there just to sleep...

"Kau tak betul ke? Dah gila? Aku bercakap dengan orang gila?"

What the hell?? First, I was high... Second, I was drunk... and now I'm crazy?? "Ye la bang... Cakap la pape pun..."

"Kau belajar lagi?"

"Yup..."

"Kat mana?"

"UiTM Melaka"

"Kau jangan nak tipu aku ya... Aku ada adik kat sana... Sekarang ni bukannya musim cuti... Kau buat apa kat sini?"

"Nak ambil slip MUET kat Matrics Pahang"

"... ... ... Kau takde kelas ke?"

"Sekarang tengah cuti study week la..."

"... ... ... Kau ambil course apa??"

"TESL..."

"Ha??"

"TESL..."

"Apa tu??"

"Jadi cikgu Bahasa Inggeris..."

"Owh... bagus bagus... Hmm... UiTM Melaka ya... Kawan aku pernah belajar UiTM jugak... Lepas tu dia kerja kastam... Gaji masyuk beb... Beribu-ribu setiap bulan... Kalau kau grad nanti, kau jadi la kastam... Cerah sikit masa depan tu..."

"Baik la bang..."

"Takpe la... aku pergi dulu... Kirim salam kat imam surau..."

He left me there near the bus station wondering, "What the hell was that all about??"

Anyway, I crashed in the Surau... Apparently, I was not the only one crashing there... About 10 people were sleeping on the floor with sejadah's as pillows... I tried not to wake up everyone and picked a spot and then just went into slumber... After a long trip from Melaka and a long walk to the malls, I was obviously... tired... zzzz...

The next morning, I went to the minor bus station and took a bus to KMPh... Getting into the matriculation college was damn easy... The guards didnt check my ID or anything but instead they just let me pass the gates... I went straight to the HEP office... but shittery shittery shit shit! That day turned out to be a public holiday and the office was closed... I had to wait until tomorrow...

So I decided to pay my former roommates and classmates a visit... Thank God they hadnt graduate from that matriculation yet... They were shocked to see so suddenly and allowed me to sleep at my old bed... Nothing changed at that moment... My bed and locker were left untouched... The limited edition Avril Lavigne poster that I put on inside the locker was still there... My mini packed Milo was still there... I'd left that place for a few months and no one bothered to search my locker... Cool~ I spent the night there... and yeah, I didnt shower... I had no towels...

The next day, early in the morning, I left the room before everybody even woke up... Well, I felt bad for not saying goodbye but I had to hop on the earliest bus back to Melaka... After I retrieved my MUET slip, I got out from KMPh through the gates... Getting out was way easier than getting in... Then, I waited for the bus to take me back to Kuantan... I waited and waited for the bus but there was no sign of it coming... Therefore I made a dumb decision... I decided to walk all the way to Kuantan... and Kuantan from there was about an hour bus trip long... Dumb Dumb Dumb... Luckily after about fifteen minutes walking, a bus to Kuantan finally showed up... I was sweating like hell when I went up the bus... Other passengers must had thought that I was a lost Indon trying to make his way to the city...

As I got off the bus, I went straight to the main bus station... On my way there, something caught my attention... Beside a road, a bearded man wearing jubah and serban was going about being able to revive a toyol... He lifted up a thing covered with kain batik and claimed that it was a dead toyol... He kept on saying that he could revive the toyol and steal from all of the audience... I was curious about it but I had a bus to catch...

I hopped on the latest bus available and arrived at Lendu around 8 pm... Took a cab to UiTM and finally ended up being in Blok P again... It was still a wonder for me that instead of going home, I spent the whole time being like a homeless guy in Pahang...

It was an adventure though... With no phone for me to contact anyone and no spare clothes to change into... Wow... Really, what was I thinking??

:-D

These are way better than Semerah Cinta Stilleto

I was really excited to watch Clash of the Titans but I have to say that after watching the movie, I felt rather disappointed... The title, "Clash of the TITANS", gave me a delusional hope that I might have a chance to see at least two powerful Greek Gods like Zeus and Hades fight and cause a lot of destruction and pain on each other... Zeus lightning bolt strike should be the finishing strike to send the slick and evil Hades back into the underground... However, to my disappointment, the movie didn't deliver what I hoped for... Yeah, it was enjoyable, but for me, it has no "WOW" factor... the action part didn't satisfy me... It was that easy to kill the most feared Kraken? The giant scorpions could be tamed into pets? and what's with the journey kind of plot? Gosh, I guess the trailer and the title got me... It was like watching the other version of Percy Jackson & The  Lightning Thief ... I kept thinking that it could be done better... Luckily the graphic and sound effects were great and top class... I love the image of Kraken and the giant scorpions... Lastly, I was confused... Who is the real father of Perseus? Zeus or Poseidon?

Date Night was awesomely funny... as expected from Tina Fey and Steve Carell... I watched the movie with my girl and Yate... Well, the movie has a lot of sarcasm and verbal jokes and there were quite some times when I noticed that among the whole audience in the cinema at that time, only the three of us were laughing to the jokes cracked as only us could get it... Feeling that we're exaggerating the jokes, the people who were sitting in front of us seldom gave us that bitchy role-up-the-eyes look but they should realize that they were really funny if they could just comprehend them... Anyway, I kinda like the movie because I could see me and my girl in Phil and Claire Foster as we often do stuff that they do... Like coming up with our own wacky dialogues whenever we see a couple dating... It really is funny to do that :-P

Next anticipated movie? IRON MAN 2!!

What's up doc??

Being born in the year of the rabbit of the Chinese horoscope, I always think that if there is such thing as reincarnation, maybe I was a rabbit in my previous life... Quiet, shy, and not to mention, cute... Yeah, and the cute part is not self-proclaimed... Ahhaha... I'm quite slow though... Maybe I was a sloth instead... Moving so slowly and quietly from branch to branch, being so lazy and easily be preyed by eagles and leopards... Hmm... Rabbit would be cooler... Besides, I wonder how sloths mate... Slow and steady huh??

Blerghhguehhguehh...

Anyway, my girl bought two rabbits... Two awesomely cute rabbits... Well, basically they're OUR rabbit since we shared money to buy them and their cage, food, toys, and other rabbit necessity items... One is Miguel and the other is Rokha... Bought them at Pahlawan Walk at a very low price...

Miguel was my girl's love at first sight... She saw him acting all cute and fluffy for the first time and suddenly she had the powerful urge to buy him... It was rather spontaneous... I gave the name Miguel... My inspiration was my former student, Miguel Koh... He and the rabbit kinda look the same and act the same...

Rokha was bought after a week we brought Miguel home... We decided to buy Rokha so that Miguel would have a friend to play and interact with... seeing them running around and lying down together never failed to bring a smile upon our faces... So what inspired us to give the little black with a bit of white rabbit the name Rokha?? Well, we were walking around Mahkota Parade after buying a steel cage for Miguel and were kinda tired... But we couldn't find any place for us to sit for awhile... So I thought that maybe we could just chill out in SenQ (the electronic store beside Thai Kuang) and watch TV... It was a perfect place to just sit for awhile after spending hours of walking for it was air-conditioned and there was TV for us to watch where Astro's Supersports was on... The name Rokha came up when we saw a footballer with the name Rocha on his jersey... Rokha's a cute name right?

Miguel is an active rabbit... Though quite emo sometimes... The first time we let him out into the room, he ran around the whole area and hopped like crazy though actually he was not really used to the environment...  He enjoys freedom so much... Miguel loves to climb on boxes, pales, buckets and my girl's printer... He loves to be patted and rubbed... and hates to be caged...

Rokha on the other hand likes to eat, eat and eat... Being small, he often spend most of his time in the small food basket and munch...

Rabbits are not that hard to take care of... They can be toilet trained, the poops dont smell. .. They dont have to be bathed... U just need to make sure food and water are always available for them, watch out for their diet (dont just feed them with everything... they can choke if given wrong type of food), make sure the cage is clean and the most important thing is to rub and hug them... Rabbits are sensitive animals so u must treat them with care and never scream or hit them... or they'll turn violent...

I look at those two rabbits and I thought, buying them was a right thing to do because they are so adorable and watching them play and act cute can really bring my mind to ease...

Owh, by the way, those rabbits above are not Miguel and Rokha... I'll upload their pics next time... :-D

Trash talk?

Sometimes it's amusing to just hear how kids nowadays talk to each other... Last week, as soon as I got out from the school compound through the front gates, I overheard two form one Malay students talking...

"Wey, lahanat! Kau nak pergi mana lahanat??"

"Siapa lahanat?"

"Kau la lahanat... Memang dasar lahanat betul... Nak pergi mana lahanat?"

"Lancau kau! Kalau aku lahanat, kau lancau!"

"Kalau aku lancau, kau berkawan dengan lancau la~~ Hahaha~"

"Elok la tu... Lancau berkawan dengan lahanat! Wargkahahahah!!"

I couldn't stop smiling until I reached home... Seriously, is it like a cool new way of talking for the young generation or what? Coz I've been hearing this kind of talking a lot since the beginning of practicum... Though amusing, but it's rather inappropriate...

For the Chinese students, whenever they're using Mandarin, even though I have no idea what they're talking about, there are some obvious words that they often use...

"#@%*&@cibai!"

"Sohai!%^@*&^%@+"

"#$@&!$@^*&fuckyoulawei!!Sohai!Cibai!"

"&^%$#hahaha!"

Well, I think that's why most of them do turn into 'lancau's and 'lahanat's and 'sohai's...
