Movie Marathon...

After seeing the new list of GSC's new movie releases, I felt that I'm going to watch all of the movies, I have to do a marathon... and which I did last Saturday with my girl... We planned to watch 4 movies in a row; Dance Flick, Aliens in the Attic, Orphan and I Love You Beth Cooper... But we missed Dance Flick due to excessive sleeping... :-P

Quite funny... and the girl above (Ashley Boettcher) who played Hannah was awesomely cute...

There's indeed something wrong with Esther when she killed everyone who she saw as a threat... A very good thriller movie for the big amount of suspense...

A typical teenage movie yet quite entertaining... Quite funny :-P

Next? I really wanted to watch District 9...

Mak aku cakap, masa Raya, semua rumah buka pintu... Kita boleh pergi semua rumah!!

"Mak aku cakap, masa Raya, semua rumah buka pintu... Kita boleh pergi semua rumah!!"

It's vague, but I think those were the words I said to a bunch of my childhood friends during one Raya... I was like 6 or 7 years old that time... They line up in front of me as if they were my soldiers and I was the commander... It was time for war... War of collecting the most Raya money!! But, we had gone to every house that the owner was known to us... It was time for a new game plan... A new warzone to enter...

"Jom!!"

We marched towards the unknown realm, the housing area that we never ever set foot before... If u could see us back then, u would know that we looked just like marching ducks crossing the road... We walked on a straight line...

I looked for a house with an open door... Finally! There!! A wooden house... A big wooden house... Well, having the mentality of a 6 year old, if the house is big, the owner must be rich... So I led my troops to the house... The door was opened but we didnt see anyone in it... "Assalamualaikummm!!" "Assalamualaikummm!!"

"Waalaikummusalam..."

A soft motherly voice replied... Then a woman appeared at the door... As far as I remembered, she didnt looked like a typical kampung makcik (huge and loud) but was rather was thin and motherly... Her face was delighted to see us... "Mari mari... Masuk ya..."

I was the first to enter the house... As soon as I set my foot into the house, I could see many pails and buckets were placed on the floor... I guessed the house had many leaks... We sat on the floor, surrounding all the kuih muih and drinks... Obviously the house got no expensive sofas...

"Makan la...", with a motherly smile, she poured down the drinks into our glasses... Being stuffed with all of the kuih, satay and ketupats from previous houses, I managed to force a few kuihs down my throat... "Anak ni dari mana? Anak siapa?", softly she asked... "Anak Pak Salam..." I replied... The rest of my troops then introduced themselves, not by their names, but their fathers'... "Owhh... semua dari bahagian atas Kerteh 4... jauhnya berjalan..."

The woman went on telling us how delighted she was to have us as guesses... She seldom had kids coming in... Only some of her adult neighbors came to visit...

After about 15 minutes, my friends started to give me the look of we-need-to-get-out-of-here-before-we-stuffed-ourselves-to-death... So I told the woman that we're leaving... "Makcik mintak maaf ya anak2... Makcik dapat bagi 20 sen sorang je... Makcik pun tak cukup duit...", she said while passing 20 cents to each and everyone of us...

That was the last house that we visited that Raya... We didnt know why but our fiery spirit of collecting Raya money faded after leaving that particular house...

Now, when I passed by the house, it is abandoned... I dont know what happened to the woman but now when I think of it, I wondered, why was she all by herself that day? Where are the children and husband?? The question remained...

P/s - I get a glimpes of this childhood memory after watching the movie "UP"... A sweet and funny 3D animation by PIXAR

Highly recommended for loving couples and parents and their children...

Peace out :-D

Smile...

I was in Dr David's class one day and sleepiness was overwhelming me... It was so hard for me to open my eyes and I was really hoping that Dr David would give out the 5 minutes break in an instant... But as time passed by, hope slowly faded away... Damn, he could just go on and on for hours without stopping... I had to get out from this class! Even for awhile!! So I took the effort to rise from my seat and ask the permission to go to the gents... As I was finally out of the class, I headed straight to the benches beside the elevators... I was hoping that the heat from the sunshine coming through the glass windows behind the benches could remove the sleepiness... But as I was slowly approaching the benches, I noticed that there was a girl sitting on them... Well, she was cute with her hair fringed to the left of her forehead and she got the 'lesung pipit' on her cheeks... hmm... a little companion wouldnt hurt, I thought, though I knew that I wouldnt say anything to her anyway... I predicted there would be a silent moment between us for the next 5 minutes or so... As I walked a few metres more towards the benches, I could see her expression more clearer... and... she was smiling... Shit, she was awesomely cute...

I was pretty sure that she was smiling towards me as we had our eyes locked... So, what would u do if a person smiles at u?? Of course u should be smiling back!! I returned her smile with my usual grin... In split seconds, my mind pushed me to utter a mere "Hi..."

but before my lips could be opened, she said something that quickly pulled me back to the real world... "Kau boleh jawab tak?"

Huh?? Jawab apa pulak ni? Dia tak tanya apa2 pun tadi??

Then, a voice of a girl suddenly appeared from behind me... "Susah bodo!! Aku main tembak and goreng je!!"

I put all the pieces together and in seconds I figured out what's really happening... Shit, she was smiling to her friend, NOT ME... "Pami, u're a perasan bastard..." I thought to myself... With my feet just a few steps from reaching the benches, I quickly changed my path to the gents...

I just hoped she didnt noticed me grinning at her...

p/s- I was just innocently trying not to be rude... If a person smiles at u (even if he/she is a stranger), u should always smile back... The same goes when someone says "Hi" to u... U should always say "Hi" back to him/her...

Hello...

It was three in the morning and the R Block of UiTM Lendu was extremely quiet as all of its residence were sleeping, including me... But as I was dreaming about being a bird watcher for Animal Planet, my dream was disturbed by whispering voice... I was awaken by a voice, whispering in front of my bed... I opened his eyes with a sigh and thinked, "who could be making such noise at this hour? Is it Bear having a nightmare? Sigh~" I raised his body and got into a sitting position on my bed then looked around... With my eyes barely opened, I surveyed the surroundings... "Bear is sleeping over there with little signs of movement... So who is..." My thoughts were jammed as soon as I saw a human figure sitting on a chair a few inches from the edge of his bed... "Oh gosh... Is that a something-that-I-do-not-dare-to-mention or just a normal human? If it's human then who is it? Bear is sleeping over there... Ridhwan is in Kluang... Then who the heck is that?? Shit... This should be the part where I cover my whole self with a blanket and pretend that it doesnt notice me... whatever it is..." As I slowly pulled my blanket, I tried to listen to the whisper... and I could not help to noticed that I actually felt familiar to the voice... "Macam suara Koi je... Ehem!" I let out a little cough... The figure turned and it was actually Koi, Bear's good friend... Shit... "You scare the heck out of me..."

Well, that happened a long time ago... Turned out to be that Koi never slept at night for he had to 'bergayut' with her girl friend on the phone and then shut off during the day... He never attended any of his classes for he rather slept the whole day instead...

Have any of u guys observe the ways some of ur friends 'bergayut'?? I have... There was a guy when I was in Matriculation Pahang who liked to 'bergayut' with his girlfriend every night... Everytime the phone rings, he would dash to any small corners that he could find before answering the call... Once I saw him talking to the phone in his small closet... Sometimes under his bed... Sometimes behind the door... Once under his table...

Some prefer scartching wall and doors... While one hand is holding the phone to the cheek, the other hand would peel off the paint layers off the wall...

Some prefer to do some dancing while talking... The would swing their bodies as if they are doing the waltz with the person they are talking...

Maybe these people are just captivated by the voice of their loved ones that they lose their sense of control... :-P

My throat hurts...

My fever is gone but my throat is aching like hell... It's like being poked with needles...

Anyway, this entry is a summary of the happenings of yesterday (just for the sake of updating this blog, nothing fancy)...

Well, after being whipped by own hair during the event of shampooing which had led to temporary blindness (about a few seconds), I was eager to get a haircut... So after being confirmed that I was no longer having fever, my girl and I head to the ICON hair salon in Gajah Berang (next to 7Eleven)... I often go there because there's this particular hair stylist who knows how I want my hair to be done and she's kinda cute and cheeky... I mean friendly... to cut and wash just cost me RM20...

After that, we went to dataran Pahlawan by cab... The day was extremely hot but being inside the cab was hotter as there was no air-cond... A true hell on earth... The jam was making it worst... By the time we reached DP, we were soaked with sweat...

We tried out the 13 State Coffee House and it was great... The dishes was rather cheap and the drinks were quite delicious...

Then, we went to watch The Proposal and it was as good as what everyone has been saying... Seriously funny!! Sandra Bullock was awesome... She carried her character well... So as Ryan Reynolds! The face expressions, the lines... definitely the movie worth watching...

"I'm gonna watch this movie again and again!!" - my girl

"It was seriously... funny!" - my girl

The part that really got us laughing our heads off was when the granny did the dance around the fire in the woods and then Margaret (Bullock) came and be insisted to join in... it was hilarious...

Some parts are really touching and if u're into this emotional kinda stuff, u'll surely shed some tears... like my girl did

:-P

I bought a Kingston 8G pendrive at Mahkota Parade PC fair... Kat Lowyatt lagi murah la...

Then walked home pass through Jonker...

Yeah,
Sunday was great...

but Why does Monday has to be so mundane...

I'm Okey~~

Yesterday morning I was feeling not so well... My body was shivering but it's actually really hot (literally)... I felt like vomiting... My head seemed to be spinning around... So Alvin and I took a trip to UiTM Clinic in Kampung Morten... First, the nurse took my tempature and it was freaking high... 38 degree celcius... "Panas sangat ni... Maybe suspected H1N1...", said the nurse... She asked me to write me name in the list of suspected cases... I looked at all the names and they were all females, except me...

Now, how would u feel if u're suspected to be infected with a deadly virus which had killed thousands? I guess u would panic... But I was just calm... I felt I was doing fine except for feeling extremely cold...

So I followed the boys (Alvin and Pali) to watch G.I. Joe...

Degil, stubborn, stupid... Dah tau demam tu, duduk je la umah...

At first we're planning to take a cab but the road was jammed, so we decided to walk all the way to Dataran Pahlawan underneath the scorching sun... The good thing of walking was the sweating... Sweating releases toxin right? By the time I reached DP, I felt much more better... or maybe it's me being optimistic...

Anyway, G.I. Joe was great!!

"Action packed!!" - Pali

"Better than Transformers..." - Alvin

And hell they were right! From the beginning until the end, we could see damages, explosions and heavy weapons... and it was awesome... The weapons and equipments used by the Joes and McCullen's side were futuristic and not to mention, deadly...

The prior weapon used by the McCullen's were nanomites, a microscopic robots that could alter cells and eat metal... Caused the Eifel Tower to collapse... In reality, this kind of technology is still being studied (Google for 'Nanobots')...

Though the weapons seemed all futuristic, some of the weapons already exist today

such as

the AA12, an automatic shotgun (had just been introduced)... Deadly for close combat, suitable for today's urban wars...

Now, back to my health condition... After a long day in DP, I went out with my girl to eat... She didnt even want to touch me for my body was burning hot... and u know la, girls, they always nag... and they nag because they care... I got a proper scolding for being so dumb - "Dah tau sakit tu, duduk je la umah!"

After eating McD, Achik sent us to the Hospital Besar Melaka... My girl was not satisfied with the conclusion I got from UiTM Clinic... We went straight to the Hospital...

At first, it was horrifying for all of the people who suspected himself/herself to be infected will be brought to the 'Isolation Area'... That area looked like a shooting ground for prisoner to be sentenced to death (seriously)... but actually it was just a waiting spot before being examined by doctors...

then bla bla bla, yada yada yada

I turned out to be just fine... It was just a normal fever and cough... but the waiting almost killed me... from 9.00 pm to 12.00 pm... A 'rempit' made a scene in the farmacy; "Saya dah tunggu dari pukul 2.00pm tau tak? Sekarang baru dapat ubat... Ni yang saya malas pergi hospital ni!!"

Well, after that, my girl was finally relieved... U should see how she was extremely worried about me...

:-)

Thank you honey

Dilibas rambut sendiri...

Rambutku sudah panjang, ia kini memberontak... Ketikaku sedang mengusap rambutku dengan syampu, rambut depanku melibas mata kiriku... Pedih... Bereaksi dengan kejadian tersebut, tanganku dengan pantas menyentuh mata (tindakan refleks)... Shit, aku lupa... Tangan aku belum dibilas dengan air... Dua-dua mata kena syampu... Pedih berganda ganda...

That particular event happening in the bathroom just now reminded me of how I always 'kantoi' in the hands of my former disciplinary teacher, Cikgu Madi, during my school years...

The sky was bright and the morning breeze swept swiftly into the classroom, messing up my gelled hair... I was at my desk, probably daydreaming about Tipah, my high school crush... and she was just a few desks far from me... The teacher was late, probably still having breakfast in the canteen... Haah~~ time to relax my mind before the boring lesson starts, I thought... As I was about to lay my head to the table, my sight caught the fat figure of Cikgu Madi... I sensed trouble... and my senses was right... A spot-check!!

"Weih!! Mana cikgu korang hah?!"

Whoaa... what a fearsome entrance...

"Semua balik ke tempat masing2!! Yang perempuan duduk!! Yang lelaki berdiri!!"

The only good thing that I could see then was, he wasnt holding a rattan stick or any solid object... But if u look at his fist, u'll know u will die if he punches u straight into ur face... U'll surely know...

He went through the other boys row by row, checking for any excess lenght of hair... I thought to myself, my hair's not that long... I'll survive...

Great, it's my turn... he looked at me front to back, top to bottom, then stand in front of me, smiling like he's interested in me... Creeped me out...

"Rambut awak panjang ni..."

Badadaboomm.... A lightning of shock hit me... Panjang?? Shit...

"Sepatutnya saya hukum awak sekarang... ambil gunting dan potong sedikit biar botak separuh..."

Gulp...

"Tapi bila awak buat muka kesian macam ni, saya tak sampai hati pulak..."

Huh?

"Cuba awak semua tengok, muka kesian kan?"

The other students stared... I knew they wanted to giggle but Cikgu Madi's devilish aura was suffocating them... They did not even let out a smile...

"Hmmm... Takpe la... Hari ni saya lepaskan awak... Kalau esok rambut awak panjang lagi, siap la..."

Owh! The relief! Eventhough I was so sure I wasnt putting up a straight face rather than 'muka kesian', but what the hell... I was safe... Balik rumah, aku terus pergi rumah Pak Mat Musing, and had a haircut... Military style haircut...

:-P
